Jordan and I are always wondering where does time go. We will never forget the journey we endured to get to this point. It seems like we waited forever, two and half years, to have a healthy pregnancy. We still remember Easter morning so clearly and now we are anticipating the birth of this baby girl!! These past seven months have flown by! It really hit me hard last weekend; she could be here in 6-10 weeks! There is still so much to do to prepare for her arrival. Her nursery is almost complete. We still have a few design things to complete and we still need the crib bumper and sheets for the crib and changing table. Then there are all the other baby necessities we need. Oh, my! Thankfully, I haven't had any showers yet! Those are coming early November!
She is still moving often! I know that I have a sweet baby because anytime I begin to worry about her moving she will move. It's like we have a connection! I really cannot wait to meet her! I'm beginning to dream about her birth and that makes me even more excited. However, I do love being pregnant! The first trimester wasn't so fun, but I love carrying one of God's miracles inside of me. Now I have swollen feet, extra weight, and immobility, but nothing beats feeling her move and knowing that God is carefully forming her within my sinful body.
We have approximately 63 days left. I am somewhere between 31 and 32 weeks. At the doctor this week, she had a heartbeat in the 150s and I had a weight in the 180s...haha!! Earlier this month, I had my glucose tolerance test for gestational diabetes. I failed the one-hour test and had to take the three-hour. That was absolutely no fun, but I passed! I celebrated by eating every dessert at Fall for Greenville! Ironically, she is the size of a pumpkin this month.
Earlier this month, we also went to prepared childbirth class at our hospital. It was very informative and put me at ease. Jordan was very interested in the equipment; he even wanted to see the epidural needle. We'll see how excited he is to see that needle when it's going into my back!! Regardless, I feel more comfortable with the laboring process. The nurse who teaches the class was Nurse Payne...what a name for a medical professional!
The other major event this month was Jordan began his career as a Sheriff's Deputy. He is really enjoying it. Hopefully, this will mean he will have more time with our daughter after he finishes the police academy.
Life seems to be moving a record speed! So much is happening, and I want to be able to enjoy it all!
